Irena Genesis Metal Fury is a brand new shoot'em up designed for the SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive which is inspired by classic games of the 90’s such as Thunder Force III / IV, Aero Blaster, Super Shinobi II and Contra Hard Corps.
As our first release, Irena Genesis Metal Fury will be a high quality shoot'em up with a classic style that will appeal to fans of the genre, casual players and all those wishing to discover a new game on SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive.

To participate, simply play the official demo and then register your best highscore on the Megascore site using the unique password displayed after the end of a game.
Save the highscore between February 1 and 10, 2021

Many of you asked us how they can get a regular edition (Metal Core) along with their limited edition (Metal Limited), or how they can get two regular editions (Metal Core x 2). We crunched the numbers and we're happy to say that you can now easily do that by adjusting your pledge.
If you want an additional regular edition (Metal Core) with your limited edition (Metal Limited), add 45€ to your pledge for a total of 145€ (~$175), excluding shipping fees.
If you want an additional regular edition (Metal Core) with your regular edition (Metal Core), add 45€ to your pledge for a total of 90€ (~$109), excluding shipping fees.
Shipping fees will remain the same, no extra cost!

Mega Cat Studios Edition for US

The White Ninja Studio team is glad to announce that Mega Cat Studios will be leading US distribution to give all US customers faster, less expensive shipping.
All US backers will be eligible for a refund on shipping costs and will receive the Mega Cat Studios edition while the rest of the world will get the Broke Studio edition.
This strategic choice will allow as many players as possible to acquire a physical edition of Irena Genesis Metal Fury and will contribute to the success of the Kickstarter campaign.

Kickstarter demo update now availabe!

We've decided to take your feedbacks into consideration in order to improve the demo with a new update that you can download now!
This update come with many improvements in order to give you a better experience and you will be happy to know that we have removed the nebula for an more detailed background where you can see an asteroid field on the horizon and the atmosphere of the planet Xellia.
Admire the view! But stay focused in action, because the gameplay has undergone a few tweaks to give you more challenge while carefully balancing the game difficulty.
In fact, the time has been reduced by 3 minutes and the second part has undergone changes with some narrow passages removed.
Now, the Rayden get an extra life and no longer loses all of its weapon's upgrades after its destruction.
You will certainly be happy to know that we have added a "QR CODES" menu accessible from the options screen to allow you to access our Kickstarter page as well as the Megascore and White Ninja websites directly from your smartphone.
We are aware that despite this major update, it remains difficult to satisfy all various player profiles, but we hope that a big part of you will appreciate the changes we maded.
Of course, we will continue to read all of your comments with the greatest care.

We are happy and proud to announce that thanks to your participation the Kickstarter campaign was funded in less than 6 days! Since its launch, there are now more than 500 of you supporting Irena Genesis Metal Fury and the entire Wite Ninja Studio team would like to thanks all.
We hope that many of you will still be participating in order to ensure the success of this new shoot'em up for the SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive, because we want as many players as possible to enjoy the game in physical version with its multiple goodies.
This success will allow us to work even harder on Irena, and maybe one day make other retro video games for Genesis /MD or even other consoles.
Our main objective is to offer a quality shoot'em up on this legendary console, therefore, we have taken into consideration all your comments in order to make some adjustments and graphic improvements on the official demo.
We will publish an update very soon, hoping you will enjoy all the changes made in the demo.
