Irena Genesis Metal Fury is a brand new shoot'em up designed for the SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive which is inspired by classic games of the 90’s such as Thunder Force III / IV, Aero Blaster, Super Shinobi II and Contra Hard Corps. As our first release, Irena Genesis Metal Fury will be a high quality shoot'em up with a classic style that will appeal to fans of the genre, casual players and all those wishing to discover a new game on SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive.

As promised, over the past few weeks we have been working on a new update for the demo, which is exclusively available to backers of the Kickstarter campaign. This new update brings various improvements including a visual improvement, an adjustment of the difficulty level, a more aggressive special attack against bosses, the correction of various minor bugs and a significant performance improvement.
In addition, this update includes a new version of the "Skyland" music used for stage 2. We have also added a feature that allows you to quickly skip through dialogues by pressing the "SPEED" button for a few seconds, or "A" button if you are using the default setting.
As a reminder, this exclusive demo of Irena Genesis Metal Fury is available for download to all backers of the Kickstarter campaign. To enjoy it, we advise you to use a real SEGA Genesis with a flash cart. You can also play the demo using the emulator of your choice although we suggest you use Blastem or KEGA Fusion.

On the weekend of October 23/24, the White Ninja Studio team went to Bourg-en-Bresse, a french city located in the region "Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes" to present Irena Genesis Metal Fury to the public during the first edition of the Hastag Festival!
During this event, it was possible to try a new version of the Irena Genesis Metal Fury playable demo and to leave with one of the two free A3 posters. This new version that you will be able to get soon come with various improvements and adjustments, mainly a new effect on the scrolling with an additional background for stage 2, a more aggressive super attack against the bosses, skippable dialogues and better performance.
Moreover, it was also possible to meet for the first time our concept artist "RedKeas" and watch her drawing new illustrations in preview! Kentosama and RedKeas were invited by RetroBeardGamer to talk about Irena Genesis Metal Fury with Jean-Keydee in a live dedicated to the Homebrew. You can watch the whole live on the RetroBeardGamer Twitch channel.
We were happy to discover this Hastag Festival first edition who was a great event. We thank the organizers for their professionalism, all people who came to try our game and Broke Studio who was also present.

We are glad to announce that the Kickstarter exclusive demo is finalized and it will be sent to backers as soon as we finish some tests to make sure everything works properly on various hardware.
During the campaign, we announced a delivery date for August and we apologize for the delay. We hope you enjoy this demo, which will give you a better idea about the final game with many improvements and an second level where you will have to fight against the army of the warlord Shungor in the sky of the planet Xellia.
For players who want to take full advantage of this exclusive demo, a cheat mode will be accessible through a combination to execute during the title screen. This will allow you to select the level, the starting weapon and to add extra lives/credits. Be careful, because using the cheat mode will not allow you to save your score and not to share it on the Internet via the Mega Score service.
For those who did not participate in the campaign, they will be able to enjoy a new demo with all the improvements, but which will not allow access to the second level.
